It’ll come as no surprise that due to the recent poor weather there have been some fixture changes.
The Leicestershire & Rutland League calendar has been changed, so that the season begins a week later but with the opening fixture of the season now moving to the final one with the season now ending on 22 September.
As a result, the 1st XI now start at home to Leicester Ivanhoe on 28 April and finish with a double header (home and away) to Market Harborough on 15 and 22 September.
In contrast the Seconds travel to Newtown Linford on 15 September and then host them a week later and the Thirds are away to Barrow Seconds and then host them the following weekend.
The Fourth XI fixtures, due to them starting on 5 May, are unaffected.
There are further changes with the National Knockout game at home to Walmley, which was due to be on 23 April, is now to take place at Mill Lane on 29 April. As a knock on effect, the fixtures for the Third XI in the Challenge Cup also need to be potentially rearranged, as Asian Sports were unable to host the original fixture on 22 April, which was switched to Mill Lane.
Changes have also been made to the WML fixtures for the Ladies, with the opening round from 22 April being cancelled – the dates for the rearranged games are to be confirmed.
As yet, there are no changes for the Grantham and Melton League fixtures.
